We have had our rig since 07 and the living room was carpet, well with all our living and pets I was ready for it to go.  Rog was concerned that we would have problems with the slides rubbing the floor and marking it , but after some testing and nagging( yes) on my part we went forward with the new floor.  It has worked out great and we both just love it.  And it is clean!!!
