While we were out shopping this little family crossed the street in front of us.  You can see the traffic behind the bird is one of the main highways north and south.  This is a Sand Hill Crane.  Talking with my brother I understand that hunters of birds call them "Ribeye of the Sky".  They must be mighty tasty.  Maybe just like chicken We have a pair with one chick in the RV park.
