The cats woke me up around 4:45 this morning by walking on my head. I tried to go back to sleep, but they were running around making little noises that didn't sound good so I finally gave in and got up and took a shower. After the shower I made coffee and decided that everyone should be up just like me.
We all got ready and headed into, as Laura calls it, the belly of the beast, Boston. We purchased on and off trolly tickets and road that for about an hour 45 minutes learning about Boston. Then we picked a few sights we wanted to see up close a personal and boarded the trolly to go to those sights. We also had booked a 1 mile walking tour on Beacon Hill at 6;00. These were some steep hills too. Then we headed back to the parking garage to get the car. Oops they were having a big "something" K run and we were not allowed to leave the garage until the race was over. We talked with a Special Ops officer about this. He said he had good news and bad news. Good news it wasn't raining. Bad news were we not going anywhere until it was over. There were over 12,000 runners in the race. He also told us we should relax eat dinner at Cheers, or watch the race and welcome to Boston. LOL
This delay made us late getting into the campground. The gates close here at 10 well be were here at 10:07 to late had to walk into the camp. Now I have walked a lot all ready today and had to go some more, up hill too. I made it fine and was the better for it Rog kept saying anyway.
We are off to Boston again tomorrow. We are planning on dinner here so will have time and energy to post some neat pix.
