13 Days Until Tom is Home!!!!
This is the Sunshine Skyway bridge we went over to go to St. Pete and Tampa this morning
We think this is the highest point in Florida. LOL The bridge is located in three counties.

Thought this was interesting
I took this pic off the internet to show you what I was trying to tell you about the man made key with rest stop in the trees and the fishing pier juting backward. The road goes on with another part of the bridge connecting us to St. Pete. Hope I am telling you all right. You just need to come out here and see for yourself. LOL The Gasparilla Pirate Festival is an annual celebration held in the city of Tampa, Florida. Held each year in late January or early February and hosted by Ye Mystic Krewe of Gasparilla and the City of Tampa, it celebrates the fictitious legend of Jose Gaspar (Gasparilla), a mythical Spanish pirate captain who supposedly operated in Southwest, Florida.
The theme and focal point of Gasparilla is an "invasion" by Jose Gaspar and his crew. On the day of the main Gasparilla parade, members of Ye Mystik Krewe of Gasparilla, accompanied by a flotilla of hundreds of smaller boats, sail across Tampa Bay to downtown Tampa on the Jose Gasparilla, a 165' long "pirate" ship which was specially built for this purpose in 1954. The major of Tampa Bay then hands over the key of the city to the pirate captain and a "victory parade" ensues down one of Tampa's major streets. Ye Mystik Krewe and other krewes throw beads, coins and other items while shooting blank pistols from floats during the parade.
Today, instead of fighting the British like her original counterpart, she serves as a sailing classroom. Lynx offers an early American history program as well as a life, earth and physical science program to schools. She teaches seamanship and history to those who step on her deck. Notably, Lynx is known for her summer program where she sails to Hawaii with students. Along the way students learn about sail handling, navigation, seamanship, leadership and learning to face unforeseen challenges.
