Trip to the capital of Tennessee

The Ryman Auditorium the original Grand Ole Opry.
We had a wonder trip into the capital of Tennessee today.  There was a big official Bar-B-Que cook off and musical festival going on so many of the streets were blocked off.  We had a time getting to the capital and of course no place to park and then we found out that it was closed to tours.

The capital of Tennessee in Nashville.  It was closed today because of renovations so we could not tour the capital building so we did a drive by.  The building is on a high knoll so my drive by was tilted and out of the frame.

At a local mall parking lot we saw plug ins for electric cars.  This is my first.  Went over and noticed there was no charge for the charge.  LOL
Bronze statue of Chet Atkins famous guitar playerIt reminds me of the statues of the presidents on main street in Rapid City, S D
I loved this work of art in front of the Visual and Preforming Arts Building.

We had to laugh when we saw this man begging for money.  He tells it like he sees it.
We also went to a Civil War battlefield today and will put that on the blog tomorrow.  The internet is so slow for down loading, up loading who knows, pics.  We are planning on staying close to home tomorrow so I will post those pics then.
